Flow is a camera-based AI solution for a backing gate which responds to herd movement in real time. The team at Te Awa Dairy Farm in Canterbury are trialing Flow, seeking efficiency and savings both in costs and time.

Developed in Christchurch by Livestock Visibility Solutions, Flow promises, in addition to animal welfare, to reduce the need for farmers to manually move cows into the dairy, so that staff are able to focus on more important farm jobs.

Business manager, Tony Watson talks through the benefits they have seen to both cows and farmers since the implementation of this breakthrough technology.
