Aaron Berry manages the Aoraki Pod, which includes Ardwell, Cairndale, Pareora and Somerset farms.
Aaron left school at 15, to pursue a career in agriculture, which led him firstly through a cadetship to the polytechnic (which is now AG ITO) and then on to farms in the Bay of Plenty, North Island.
He moved south to Canterbury in 2004 to Ardwell farm as a lower order share-milker, and then on to 50/50 share-milking in 2007. This was followed on by the creation of an equity partnership in 2009. This partnership then expanded to purchase the arable/cropping Cairndale farm in March 2012, which was converted to dairy in the early spring of 2012. In late 2013 Aaron joined Craigmore as a Pod Manager, and, in 2014, took responsibility for two additional farms, Pareora and Somerset.
