From January 1998 to the end of 2000, he was Head of Deutsche Boerse AG’s primary markets business and as such the CEO of the Neuer Markt. He was also a member of the Exchange’s Steering Committee negotiating the first merger attempts with the London Stock Exchange and NASDAQ. He was also a founding partner of a US-based alternative asset manager. He was also personal assistant to Rolf Breuer, former CEO of Deutsche Bank and Sir John Craven, Chairman of Morgan Grenfell.
In 2005, Josef co-founded GlenSilva GmbH, a Germany-based investment advisor and asset manager focusing on institutional investments in international forestry and agriculture. He has personal roots in agriculture and forestry.
