He has been based in both the Christchurch and London offices, working initially as part of the farm acquisition team, and then the investor relations team. As such, Hugo has a deep understanding of the business and has been involved in much of the growth over the past five years. Hugo’s first role on returning to the UK was with a detailed feasibility study on the UK dairy sector.
Hugo graduated from Newcastle University with an Agri Business Management degree in 2013. As part of his final year dissertation, he investigated differing farmland operating models in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Hugo grew up on an arable farm in Kent, and has worked on a number of farms including vineyards in New Zealand. He has the good fortune to hold both British and New Zealand passports.
