Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail
Craigmore staff have been engaging with the “Alps 2 Ocean” cycle trail to help provide better access for recreational cyclers to iconic scenery in New Zealand. We are proud to now be a part of a fantastic 300km cycle trail running from Mount Cook to Oamaru, giving the public an opportunity to get closer to NZ dairy farming.
Three Craigmore farms in North Otago are a part of the 300km Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail, which begins at the base of New Zealand’s highest mountain Aoraki/Mt Cook and takes riders all the way to Oamaru. The Cycle Way covers some of the most diverse and beautiful scenery New Zealand has to offer. The trail is an easy grade for all ages and offers a pleasing mix of on and off-road trails linking the Southern Alps to the Pacific Ocean.
Our three farms are located in Waiareka Valley, and give riders the chance to enjoy the breath-taking farm scenery that is home to 4,400 crossbred cows. The Arnmore, Windsor and Waiareka farms cover 1,060 hectares and are tended to by a team of 24 farm staff.
