The Role

This is a 2 year fixed term role to support the rapid growth of our apples business.  We have a number of projects planned that will support business performance improvement and drive efficiencies through improved operational processes and systems. The projects are focused on the smart use of digital technology in the field and getting useful data to the hands of decision makers quickly.

We are looking for a Project Business Analyst to provide quality project analysis and change practices that will support the design, delivery and to operationally embed projects focused on improving capability including technology, processes, tools, and people development.

Key responsibilities include understanding user needs, scope definition, process design, solution design and assessment, implementation and testing support, and change planning and delivery.

  • knowledgeable and experienced in business analysis disciplines and techniques including user stories, and process design
  • experienced with projects that source, assess and embed SaSS solutions

  • confident to be self-organising and self-starting

About You


  • University degree, preferably in Commerce or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Qualifications and/or experience in analysis, change, or project management such as BABOK, PMBOK or Prince2, SCRUM, KANBAN, Lean, ADKAR, PROSCI, Vanguard, Scaled Agile
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in projects and business change
  • Experience working in a shared services function with multiple lines of business to support
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic day to day challenges
  • Experience eliciting user needs, validating, documenting, and prioritizing these
  • Experience business process mapping and facilitating optimum process design with methodologies such as Lean or Vanguard
  • Experience in supporting vendor selection and on-boarding
  • Experience facilitating and leading a cross-functional teams to achieve outcomes
  • Horticultural experience while not required would be an advantage
  • Proven customer first approach
  • Demonstrated ability to manage self in a fast-growing environment, regularly meeting deadlines
  • Ability to manage process change and implement systems that are driven by best practice and/or necessitated by demand to achieve positive outcomes for the business
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of diverse individuals
  • Ability to act as a business partner to aid Leadership Teams and on ground operational workers in decision making
  • Ability to train and develop operational workers in systems and processes
  • Ability to build relationships to gain trust to ensure the acceptance of change
