Kiwifruit is New Zealand’s largest single horticultural export by volume and value. Zespri, 100% NZ owned, market the produce internationally on behalf of the majority of the New Zealand kiwi fruit industry. The largest buyer is Europe with 38% market share, followed by Japan at 18% and then China at 16%.

We are working in conjunction with a local specialist kiwi fruit grower, manager and packer, Trevelyan’s Pack and Cool with whom we have a JV. Trevelyan’s are a well-established family-owned kiwi fruit specialist, last year handling nine million trays of green, gold and green organic kiwifruit, valued at approximately NZD80m, around 8% of the industry in NZ. Trevelyan’s has a kiwifruit supply contract with Zespri.
