The Craigmore sheep policy moved 40 years ago from Romneys and a Border/Leicester cross to stabilise on Coopworths, that breed having served the property very well with the use of a black-faced ram over ewes used for prime lamb production.

Craigmore ran with the Cotton family from Australia a substantial Hampshire Sheep stud some years.

Craigmore has moved in the last years towards introducing other recent imports such as Finn, Texel and Wiltshire to expand the genetic base of the flock.
