For holistic and commercial reasons, Fiona and Peter have been moving over these last years to test the ability of Craigmore to register as an accredited organic property.
It is the long-term goal to market the lamb, beef, venison, chicken and peonies under the Craigmore® brand name.

Jake and Leigh-Ann Heval and family manage the production and marketing of this healthy popular organic poultry business. The organic farm and processing plant is in the Gisbourne district.

The move was facilitated by the purchase of the 273 hectare Cleveland property, which having been farmed organically for 20 years, was registered by Craigmore as an organic property under Certenz accreditation in January 2002.
It is Craigmore's intention to move to direct accreditation status if possible, but in a staged and managed manner depending upon practice and economics.
